Estrategias metodológicas interactivas para el aprendizaje de la lengua kichwa en los estudiantes de cuarto grado de la Unidad Educativa Comunitaria Intercultural Bilingüe General Pintag, Guaranda, Bolívar, período 2026

Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como propósito fortalecer el aprendizaje de la lengua kichwa
mediante la implementación de estrategias metodológicas interactivas en estudiantes de cuarto
grado de la Unidad Educativa Intercultural General Pintag, ubicada en Guaranda, Bolívar, durante el
período lectivo 2026, con la finalidad de promover aprendizajes significativos, desarrollar
competencias comunicativas y contribuir directamente a la conservación de esta importante lengua
ancestral. El estudio se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cualitativo orientado a comprender
detalladamente las experiencias, actitudes y percepciones de estudiantes, docente y
representantes legales sobre el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje del idioma kichwa, aplicando
los métodosinductivo, analítico, descriptivo, bibliográfico y sintético. La recolección de información
relevante se realizó mediante técnicas de observación participante y entrevistas semiestructuradas
dirigidas a los diferentes actores educativos; la muestra estudiada estuvo conformada por siete
estudiantes y un docente especialista en lengua kichwa. Los resultados evidenciaron que los
estudiantes valoran positivamente su lengua ancestral y muestran un claro interés por aprenderla;
sin embargo, enfrentan marcadas dificultades en la expresión oral debido al predominio de
metodologías tradicionales, la limitada práctica del idioma y la escasez de recursos didácticos
contextualizados. Asimismo,se identificó la necesidad imperiosa de incorporar actividades lúdicas,
juegos, canciones, dramatizaciones y recursos audiovisuales que promuevan la participación activa
e involucren a las familias y la comunidad local. En conclusión, las estrategias metodológicas
interactivas constituyen una alternativa pedagógica altamente pertinente para revitalizar el
aprendizaje dinámico del kichwa, consolidar la identidad cultural y fortalecer la educación
intercultural bilingüe en esta importante institución educativa comunitaria.

The present research aimed to strengthen the learning of the Kichwa language through the
implementation of interactive methodological strategies among fourth-grade students at the
Unidad Educativa Intercultural General Pintag, located in Guaranda, Bolívar, during the 2026
academic year. Its purpose was to promote meaningful learning, develop communicative
competencies, and directly contribute to the preservation of thisimportant ancestral language. The
study was conducted under a qualitative approach aimed at gaining a thorough understanding of
the experiences, attitudes, and perceptions ofstudents, the teacher, and parents or legal guardians
regarding the Kichwa language teaching and learning process. The research employed inductive,
analytical, descriptive, bibliographic, and synthetic methods. Data were collected through
participant observation and semi-structured interviews conducted with the educational
stakeholders. The study sample consisted of seven students and one Kichwa language teacher. The
findings revealed that the students value their ancestral language and show a strong interest in
learning it; however, they face significant difficulties in oral expression due to the predominance of
traditional teaching methodologies, limited opportunities to practice the language, and a lack of
contextualized teaching resources. Furthermore, the study identified the urgent need to
incorporate playful activities, educational games, songs, dramatizations, and audiovisual resources
that encourage active participation and involve families and the local community in the educational
process. In conclusion, interactive methodological strategies represent a highly relevant
pedagogical alternative for revitalizing dynamic Kichwa language learning, strengthening cultural
identity, and enhancing intercultural bilingual education within this educational community.
