Incidencia en la seguridad en el desarrollo de la actividad turística del cantón subtítulo: Echeandía, provincia de Bolívar, año 2025.

Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of security on tourism development in the Echeandía ct: canton during the year 2025, employing a qualitative approach that integrates direct observation, document analysis, and primary data collection. The methodological design allowed for the structuring of a solid analytical framework to examine the relationship between a secure environment and the destination's competitiveness, using tools that facilitate the collection of information directly from the territory and its strategic stakeholders. The process was developed through three fundamental specific objectives. First, a situational diagnosis of tourism supply and demand was prepared, evaluating not only the potential of natural attractions but also the quality of infrastructure, signage, and complementary services. Second, security problems were identified through ten interviews with service providers and representatives of public entities, achieving a comprehensive view of the vulnerabilities that affect the perception of tranquility in the canton. Finally, the study culminated in the proposal of strengthening strategies oriented toward sustainable development, using the Logical Framework Approach as the planning framework. This strategic component included the development of a stakeholder matrix, problem and objective trees, and an analysis of alternatives, culminating in a logical framework matrix that details the budget and implementation schedule. This provides a technical and financial tool ready for implementation by local authorities to benefit from the economic dynamism of Echeandía.
