| dc.description | The main objective of this research was the tourism development in the zone of the Simiátug parish, considering this territory to have great tourism potential that has not managed to increase its demand due to certain limitations and challenges for tourism management and planning, such as mismanagement of resources. Therefore, this research work aims to contribute to tourism development through proper planning that allows for the identification of opportunities and strategies to prepare a viable action plan for the locality. To achieve this, a methodology with a qualitative approach was applied, coordinating deductive, inductive, synthetic, and analytical methods to analyze the issues from different perspectives, considering descriptive, documentary, and field research techniques, which facilitated the information gathering. Similarly, a literature review, interviews, focus groups, and brainstorming sessions were conducted with key stakeholders from the communities, resulting in the identification of tourism resources through the situational diagnosis of tourism potential and the detailed analysis of CPES matrices, which allowed for the identification of the main needs and obstacles to their progress. Critical nodes limiting their development were identified, highlighting the need to strengthen and enhance the tourism sector in the upper area of Simiátug. Finally, an action plan was designed with objectives, responsible parties, and guidelines to strengthen the tourism resources that the communities have, thereby aiming to contribute to the economy of the communities. | |
| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo principal el desarrollo turístico en la zona alta de la parroquia Simiátug, considerando dicho territorio con mucho potencial turístico que no ha logrado incrementar su demanda debido a ciertas limitaciones y desafíos para la gestión y planificación turística como el mal manejo de los recursos. Es por ello que este trabajo de investigación busca contribuir el desarrollo turístico mediante una planificación adecuada que permita identificar oportunidades y estrategias para elaborar un plan de acción viable en la localidad. Para lograr se aplicó una metodología con enfoque cualitativo, concertando los métodos deductivo, inductivo, sintético e analítico para analizar la problemática desde diferentes perspectivas, tomando en cuenta las técnicas de investigación descriptiva, documental y de campo lo cual facilito la recopilación de información, de la misma manera se realizó una revisión bibliográfica, entrevistas, grupos focales y lluvia de ideas con actores claves de las comunidades, obteniendo como resultado la identificación de recursos turísticos, mediante el diagnostico situacional del potencial turístico, el análisis detallado de matrices (CPES)que permitió identificar las principales necesidades y obstáculos para su progreso, en la escala se identificaron nodos críticos que limitaban su desarrollo, la necesidad de fortalecer y potenciar el sector turístico en la zona alta de Simiátug, finalmente se diseñó un plan de acción con objetivos, responsables y orientaciones para fortalecer los recurso turísticos que tienen las comunidades y de esta manera se pretende contribuir la economía de las comunidades. | |
