Resumen :	El presente informe de investigación: EL MÉTODO MONTESSORI Y LA COMPRENSIÓN LECTORA EN EL ÁREA DE LENGUA Y LITERATURA CON LOS ESTUDIANTES DE CUARTO Y QUINTO AÑO DE EDUCACIÓN GENERAL BÁSICA EN LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA COMUNITARIA INTERCULTURAL BILINGÜE “SAN JUAN BOSCO” EN LA CIUDAD DE GUARANDA, PROVINCIA BOLÍVAR PERIODO 2022-2023, aborda la temática del método Montessori, en el contexto educativo de manera que ayude a mejorar la comprensión lectora, teniendo como punto de partida una observación sistemática y metodológica para posterior análisis y solución a las necesidades encontradas. La incidencia del ambiente pedagógico es un factor indispensable dentro del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el área de Lengua y Literatura, que a su vez ofrecen, ventajas al aplicar o desarrollar el método Montessori como un ambiente de aprendizaje el cual permite que cada uno de los estudiantes aprenda de manera individualizada a su ritmo y capacidad. La comprensión lectora es vista como una necesidad en todo el ámbito educativo, que permitirá desarrollar diferentes habilidades y capacidades que no solo les ayudará a desenvolverse dentro del área de Lengua y Literatura, sino dentro de todas las asignaturas; siendo un eje indispensable en cuanto a la mejora de la educación. Además, para el desarrollo de este informe se realizó una investigación de campo porque se acudió al lugar de los hechos para obtener información verídica; a través de la entrevista a docentes y también la aplicación de una guía de observación a los estudiantes que sirvió para conocer las dificultades y necesidades que poseen los mismos, dichos resultados sirvieron para posterior elaboración de la propuesta
Descripción :	The present research project: THE MONTESSORI METHOD AND READING COMPREHENSION IN THE AREA OF LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE WITH THE STUDENTS OF FOURTH AND FIFTH YEAR OF GENERAL BASIC EDUCATION OF THE INTERCULTURAL BILINGUAL COMMUNITY EDUCATIONAL UNIT "SAN JUAN BOSCO" IN THE CITY OF GUARANDA, BOLIVAR PROVINCE PERIOD 2022-2023, The Montessori method is approached in the educational context in a way that helps to improve reading comprehension, taking as a starting point a systematic and methodological observation for further analysis and solution to the needs found. The incidence of the pedagogical environment is an indispensable factor in the teaching-learning process in the area of language and literature, which in turn offers advantages when applying or developing the Montessori method as a learning environment that allows each student to learn individually at his or her own pace and capacity. Reading comprehension is seen as a necessity in the entire educational field that will allow the development of different skills and abilities that will not only help them to develop within the area of language and literature but within all subjects; being an indispensable axis in terms of improving education. In addition, for the development of this report a field research was carried out because we went to the place of the facts to obtain true information; through the interview to teachers and also the application of an observation guide to the students that served to know the difficulties and needs that they have, these results served for the later elaboration of the proposal.
