Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en la clínica de la Universidad Estatal de Bolívar Laguacoto II donde se evaluaron 40 gatos machos y hembras entre ellos castrados, esterilizadas, el presente estudio se realizó con un análisis estadístico descriptivo para la determinación de Enfermedades del Tracto Urinario en Felinos, en muestras de orina , de los cuales se evaluaron las siguientes variables: tipo de cristal, raza, sexo, edad, condición corporal, dieta condición sexual , teniendo en cuenta los signos y síntomas en esta especie. Dando prioridad al análisis de orina (Urianálisis) donde se observó la condición física, química y sedimento de la orina, diagnosticando así los diferentes tipos de cristales y patologías que se han presentado en los pacientes evaluados.
Donde los resultados obtenidos se logaron apreciar, el tipo de cristal con mayor frecuencia fue Estruvita, en gatos mestizos, machos castrados en la edad de 1 a 6 años con un peso ideal o con sobrepeso, gatos que viven dentro de casa con una alimentación de balanceado. El porcentaje de las patologías en esta investigación fueron las siguiente Cistitis Bacteriana 30%, Cistitis Idiopática 17,50%, Urolitiasis 15% y Obstrucción Uretral 15%.
Description
The present research work was carried out in the clinic of the State University of Bolívar Laguacoto II where 40 male and female cats were evaluated, including neutered and sterilized. The present study was carried out with a descriptive statistical analysis for the determination of Urinary Tract Diseases. in Felines, in urine samples, of which the following variables were evaluated: type of crystal, breed, sex, age, body condition, diet, sexual condition, taking into account the signs and symptoms in this species. Giving priority to urine analysis (Urianalysis) where the physical, chemical and sediment condition of the urine was observed, thus diagnosing the different types of crystals and pathologies that have occurred in the evaluated patients.
Where the results obtained could be appreciated, the type of crystal most frequently was Struvite, in mixed-breed cats, neutered males aged 1 to 6 years with an ideal weight or overweight, cats that live indoors with a diet of balanced. The percentage of pathologies in this investigation were the following Bacterial Cystitis 30%, Idiopathic Cystitis 17.50%, Urolithiasis 15% and Urethral Obstruction 15%.
