Abstract
El actual proyecto de indagación se enfoca en la potencialización del Rincón Mágico: Centro Histórico de Guaranda, como patrimonio vivo en la provincia de Bolívar, Ecuador. Este territorio, declarado recientemente como un "Rincón Mágico" por el Ministerio de Turismo, posee un considerable encanto viajero gracias a su valiosa herencia cultural, costumbres, paisaje natural y cocina singular.
Sin embargo, el Centro Histórico de Guaranda confronta múltiples retos, tales como la escasez de financiación, el desgaste de las construcciones viejas y la desaparición de componentes arquitectónicos originales, lo que afecta su autenticidad y desarrollo. Por lo tanto, este proyecto busca analizar la situación actual, identificar las mejores prácticas de atención al cliente y hospitalidad turística a nivel nacional, y diseñar un manual para un buen anfitrión turístico, con el objetivo de potencializar este Rincón Mágico como un destino turístico de alto valor cultural y patrimonial.
La importancia de esta iniciativa reside en su habilidad para transformarse en un impulsor del progreso económico y social, al establecer un ambiente cautivador para el turismo cultural y producir ventajas para la comunidad local. Asimismo, la restauración de este lugar puede funcionar como ejemplo para otras urbes que desean encontrar un equilibrio la modernización con la preservación de su patrimonio histórico.
Description
This research project focuses on the potentialization of the Magic Corner: Historic Center of Guaranda, as a living heritage in the province of Bolívar, Ecuador. This territory, recently declared a "Magic Corner" by the Ministry of Tourism, has considerable tourist appeal due to its cultural richness, traditions, natural environment, and unique gastronomy.
However, the Historic Center of Guaranda faces several challenges, such as lack of investment, deterioration of ancient structures, and the loss of original architectural elements, affecting its authenticity and development. Therefore, this project aims to analyze the current situation, identify best practices in customer service and tourism hospitality at the national level, and design a manual for a good tourist host, with the objective of potentializing this Magic Corner as a tourist destination of high cultural and heritage value.
The relevance of this project lies in its ability to become an engine of economic and social development, by creating an attractive environment for cultural tourism and generating benefits for the local community. Additionally, the rehabilitation of this space can serve as a model for other cities seeking to balance modernization with the preservation of their historical heritage.
