| dc.description | La investigación abordó el cumplimiento de la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación (LOC) en relación con la responsabilidad informativa de los medios radiofónicos del cantón Guaranda durante el período marzo-junio de 2026; el propósito central fue determinar el nivel de cumplimiento de esta normativa dentro del ejercicio comunicacional desarrollado por las emisoras locales. El estudio se ejecutó bajo un enfoque cualitativo, con alcance descriptivo, documental y de campo, sustentándose en los métodos analíticosintético, deductivo-inductivo y bibliográfico-documental; para la obtención de información se emplearon entrevistas semiestructuradas, observación no participante, revisión documental y una matriz de análisis aplicada a los medios radiofónicos. La información recopilada permitió identificar que las emisoras observadas desarrollan prácticas asociadas con la difusión de información, la participación ciudadana, la promoción de contenidos culturales y el fortalecimiento del vínculo con la comunidad. Igualmente, se evidenció que la radio mantiene una función relevante dentro de la dinámica social local por su cercanía con las audiencias y por su capacidad para abordar temas relacionados con la realidad territorial. Se identificaron aspectos susceptibles de fortalecimiento relacionados con accesibilidad para personas con discapacidad, formalización de mecanismos de autorregulación y mayor visibilidad de instrumentos éticos institucionales. Los resultados obtenidos permiten establecer que los medios radiofónicos del cantón Guaranda presentan un nivel favorable de cumplimiento de la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación en correspondencia con la responsabilidad informativa observada. Situación contribuye al acceso ciudadano a información de interés público, fortalece los procesos de participación social y favorece el desarrollo de una comunicación cercana a las necesidades y características de la comunidad local. | dc.description.abstract | This research addressed compliance with the Organic Law of Communication (LOC) in relation to the informative responsibility of radio media outlets in the canton of Guaranda during the period from March to June 2026; the main objective was to determine the level of compliance with this regulation within the communicational practices developed by local radio stations. The study was conducted under a qualitative approach, with a descriptive, documentary, and field-based scope, supported by analytical-synthetic, deductive-inductive, and bibliographic-documentary methods; data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, documentary review, and a media analysis matrix applied to the radio stations included in the research. The information gathered made it possible to identify that the radio stations under observation develop practices associated with the dissemination of information of public interest, citizen participation, the promotion of cultural content, and the strengthening of ties with the community; likewise, radio was found to maintain a relevant role within local social dynamics due to its closeness to audiences and its ability to address issues related to the territorial reality. In addition, opportunities for improvement were identified in areas related to accessibility for people with disabilities, the formalization of self-regulation mechanisms, and the greater visibility of institutional ethical instruments. The results obtained indicate that the radio media outlets of the canton of Guaranda demonstrate a favorable level of compliance with the Organic Law of Communication in correspondence with the informative responsibility observed; this situation contributes to citizens’ access to information of public interest, strengthens social participation processes, and promotes communication that is closely aligned with the needs and characteristics of the local community. | |
