Resumen :	La investigación va centrada al análisis de la situación turística sobre avifauna de la Ruta Sara Kapak Ñan, mediante una metodología mixta, bibliografía y de campo se implantó cinco transectos cada uno de dos km, identificando así treinta y tres especies, repartidas en seis órdenes, catorce familias, destacando la Trochilidae; las especies están agrupadas en treinta géneros, mismas que fueron catalogadas taxonómicamente conociendo su nombre vernáculo, el individuo más destacado fue el colibrí estrellita del Chimborazo (Oreotrochilus chimborazo) siendo la más abundante. Para evaluar la oferta turística, se llevaron a cabo entrevistas con cinco actores clave, revelando seis establecimientos de alojamiento y tres de alimentación en la ruta, junto con servicios básicos y accesibilidad regular en la Comunidad de Quindigua Central y la Reserva de Producción de Fauna Chimborazo (RPFCH). Para determinar el perfil del turista se aplicó trecientas ochenta y tres encuestas a turistas en la reserva, destacando una mayor presencia femenina (50%) y masculina (47%), principalmente entre 24 y 29 años, provenientes de diversas provincias ecuatorianas, el 49% estaría dispuesto a participar en una oferta turística alternativa enfocada al aviturismo dentro de la (RPFCH); el 63% expresó la importancia de contar con una guía de aves. Concluyendo que en la ruta presenta elementos turísticos, naturales y culturales propicios para el avistamiento de aves, instando a la colaboración de los tomadores de decisiones locales para lograr un desarrollo sostenible en la reserva y la comunidad.
Descripción :	The research is focused on the analysis of the tourist situation on avifauna of the Sara Kapak Ñan Route, through a mixed methodology, bibliography and field work, five transects of two kilometers each were implanted, identifying thirty-three species, divided into six orders, fourteen families, highlighting the Trochilidae; The species are grouped into thirty genera, which were taxonomically catalogued, knowing their vernacular name; the most outstanding individual was the Chimborazo star hummingbird (Oreotrochilus chimborazo), being the most abundant. To evaluate the tourism offer, interviews were conducted with five key stakeholders, revealing six lodging establishments and three food establishments along the Route, along with basic services and regular accessibility in the Central Quindigua Community and the Chimborazo Fauna Production Reserve (RPFCH). To determine the profile of the tourists, 383 surveys were applied to tourists in the reserve, highlighting a greater presence of women (50%) and men (47%), mainly between 24 and 29 years old, from various Ecuadorian provinces, 49% would be willing to participate in an alternative tourism offer focused on birdwatching within the RPFCH; 63% expressed the importance of having a bird guide. In conclusion, the route presents natural and cultural tourism elements conducive to bird watching, urging the collaboration of local decision makers to achieve sustainable development in the reserve and the community.
