Resumen :	El estudio “PROCESO ENFERMERO EN ADULTOS MAYORES CON DIABETES MELLITUS TIPO II APLICANDO EL MODELO TEÓRICO DE VIRGINIA HENDERSON HOSPITAL BÁSICO NICOLÁS COTTO INFANTE. PERIODO DICIEMBRE 2022 - ABRIL 2023”, investigación ejecutada con el objetivo de desarrollar el proceso de enfermería en pacientes adultos mayores con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo II aplicando el modelo de atención de Virginia Henderson en el hospital Básico Nicolás Cotto Infante, como herramienta que promueva el cuidado enfermero eficaz, habiéndose definido de tipo descriptivo y bibliográfico , estudio de campo y de carácter transversal, con una población de 20 pacientes adultos mayores diagnosticados con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo II del hospital en mención, habiéndose empleado para el procesamiento de información el programa informático EXCEL, mismo que facilito la obtención de tablas en donde se deja en evidencia que respecto a la valoración de los pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo II con el modelo de Virginia Henderson se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados: en la necesidad de oxigenación respecto a signos vitales la totalidad de los adultos mayores presentan una elevación en la presión arterial a excepción de uno que presento una disminución de los valores por debajo del rango normal, el valor de la glucosa es otra de alteraciones presentes en la necesidad de nutrición existe alteraciones en cuanto a las medidas antropométricas: existe un alto porcentaje de pacientes con obesidad respecto al régimen dietético la mayoría mantiene una dieta XIII hipoglucémica, concluyendo que existe una alteración respecto a la necesidad de oxigenación específicamente en los valores de la presión arterial, seguido de los niveles de glicemia, otra de las alteraciones respecto a las necesidades que está afectada en mayor porcentaje es la de eliminación respecto a la presencia de hipertensión y obesidad en cuanto a la necesidad de higiene y protección de la piel como es característico de esta patología existe lesiones a nivel de los pies y finalmente en cuanto a la necesidad de trabajo y creencias existe un deterioro que puede comprometer la calidad de vida de los adultos mayores. Descripción :	The study “NURSING PROCESS IN ELDERLY ADULTS WITH TYPE II DIABETES APPLYING THE THEORETICAL MODEL OF VIRGINIA HENDERSON NICOLÁS COTTO INFANTE BASIC HOSPITAL. PERIOD DECEMBER 2022 - APRIL 2023”, research carried out with the objective of developing the nursing process in older adult patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus applying the Virginia Henderson care model at the Nicolás Cotto Infante Basic Hospital, as a tool that promotes care effective nurse, having defined a descriptive and bibliographic type, a field study and a cross-sectional study, with a population of 20 older adult patients diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus Type II of the Hospital in question, having used the EXCEL computer program for information processing, same that facilitated the obtaining of tables where it is made evident that regarding the assessment of patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus with the Virginia Henderson model, the following results were obtained: in the need for oxygenation with respect to vital signs, all the Older adults present an elevatio n in blood pressure, except for one that presented a decrease in values below the normal range, the value of glucose is another of the alterations present in the need for nutrition, there are alterations in terms of anthropometric measurements. : there is a high percentage of patients who are overweight with respect to the diet, most maintain a hypoglycemic diet, concluding that there is an alteration regarding the need for oxygenation, specifically in blood pressure values, followed by glycemia XV levels, another of the alterations with respect to the needs that is affected in a greater percentage is the one of elimination with respect to the presence of hypertens io n and overweight in terms of the need for hygiene and protection of the skin, as is characteristic of this pathology, there are lesions at the level of the feet and Finally, regarding the need for work and beliefs, there is a deterioration that can compromise the quality of life of the elderly.
