Resumen :	El suicidio, tema de controversia desde hace muchos años por el poco conocimiento que existe del mismo o porque aún en la sociedad actual resulta ser un tabú; muchos de los casos son identificables por las señales que dan los jóvenes pero también existen casos que no se observa ninguna señal, simplemente se conoce del sufrimiento del joven una vez que terminó con su vida, sus causas en la mayoría provienen de los problemas de los individuos y la poca atención que se les brinda, pero sin importar su origen el problema es el mismo, el fin de una vida a manos del propio individuo. La presente investigación surge desde la necesidad de conocer acerca de los principales motivos que tienen los jóvenes de entre 15 a 29 años de la ciudad de Guaranda para crear en sí, ideas, pensamientos y acciones suicidas mismas que los llevan a tomar la decisión de atentar contra su vida, hasta conseguir su fin que es morir por sus propios medios, además la investigación tiene como propósito identificar cuáles son las principales alertas que presentan los jóvenes; alertas que se deben identificar para acudir de forma adecuada ante esta problemática y buscar posibles soluciones a las mismas, con apoyo familiar y de especialistas, se busca también, identificar cuáles son las situaciones, acciones o cosas que influyen en el progreso de esta problemática y que llevan al individuo a tener este tipo de pensamientos y de forma posterior a que el joven cometa estas acciones erróneas, de las cuales claro está, conocen las consecuencias. Para el desarrollo de la misma se utilizó una metodología cualitativa en virtud de que su desarrollo se basará en revisión bibliográfica, teórica, descriptiva, analítica y de campo, cabe mencionar también la implementación de la metodología de la triangulación misma que consta de la obtención de diferentes, datos, métodos, diferentes perspectivas y puntos de vista sobre el tema en desarrollo para su posterior comprensión y obtención de resultados exitosos, asimismo dentro del desarrollo de la investigación se utilizó como técnica de recolección de datos la entrevista cuya implementación es de suma utilidad ya que esta técnica permite al investigador mantenerse en contacto con su objeto de estudio, además se implementó el método Delphi mismo que fue de gran utilidad ya que permitió recolectar información de parte de especialistas lo cual resultó muy útil al momento de realizar los resultados del proyecto. Este trabajo investigativo propone obtener resultados que permitan conocer en los jóvenes de la ciudad de Guaranda que tanto influyen la modernidad y la descomposición social, factores que en ellos generan ideas, pensamientos e intentos suicidas, es decir el llevar a cabo 16 una acción que, sin importar la forma empleada, solo tendrá un resultado final, hará que un joven termine con su vida por medio del suicidio.
Descripción :	Suicide, a topic of controversy for many years due to the little knowledge that exists about it or because even in today's society it is a taboo, many of the cases are identifiable by the signs given by young people but there are also cases where no sign is observed, simply the suffering of the young person is known once he ended his life, its causes mostly come from the problems of individuals and the little attention given to them, but regardless of their origin the problem is the same, the end of a life at the hands of the individual himself. This research arises from the need to know about the main reasons that young people between 15 and 29 years old from the city of Guaranda have to create in themselves, ideas, thoughts, and suicidal actions that lead them to make the decision to attempt against their life, to achieve their goal which is to die by their own means, also the research aims to identify what are the main alerts that young people present; alerts that should be identified in order to adequately address this problem and seek possible solutions to it, with family and specialist support, it also seeks to identify what are the situations, actions or things that influence the progress of this problem and that lead the individual to have this type of thoughts and subsequently to the young person committing these erroneous actions, of which of course, they are aware of the consequences. For the development of this research, a qualitative methodology was used since its development will be based on bibliographic, theoretical, descriptive, analytical and field review. It is also worth mentioning the implementation of the triangulation methodology, which consists of obtaining different data, methods, different perspectives and points of view on the subject under development for its subsequent understanding and obtaining successful results, Likewise, during the development of the research, the interview was used as a data collection technique, the implementation of which is extremely useful since this technique allows the researcher to keep in touch with the object of study, in addition, the Delphi method was implemented, which was very useful since it allowed collecting information from specialists, which was very useful at the time of obtaining the results of the project. This research work proposes to obtain results that allow us to know how much influence modernity and social decomposition have on the young people of the city of Guaranda, factors that generate suicidal ideas, thoughts and attempts, that is to say, to carry out an action that, regardless of the form used, will only have one final result, it will make a young person and his life by means of suicide. 18 Key words: Suicide, modernity, social decomposition, youth, Guaranda.
