Resumen :	El trabajo de investigación que se presenta a continuación aborda el tema de los conflictos sociales por minería y como estos surgen en el territorio de Telimbela, son analizados en base a la información recolectada por medio del método mixto, realizando una revisión bibliográfica de la minería, la teoría del conflicto y la teoría de la movilización de recursos para posteriormente realizar las correspondientes encuestas, las cuales fueron aplicadas a 344 personas que fueron la muestra poblacional del sector. Dentro de las encuestas se analizan posibles factores que generan los conflictos y evidencia si hubo una socialización; y dos entrevistas, una al representante de la parroquia y una al de la empresa. El objetivo de esta investigación fue estudiar los conflictos sociales por el proceso minero, en la parroquia Telimbela, cantón Chimbo, provincia Bolívar, a través de entrevistas, encuestas, para conocer las causas y posibles enfrentamientos futuros. Partiendo con la hipótesis de que el conflicto minero en Telimbela surge por la desconfianza de la población sobre el impacto de la minería en el sector, se evidencio los factores causantes del conflicto social minero dentro de la parroquia Telimbela y la eficacia de los mecanismos usados para la socialización del mismo en territorio, se concluye que, si hubo socialización acerca del proyecto minero por parte de la empresa minera Yankuang, sin embargo, no se aplicaron los mecanismos adecuados para llegar a todo el territorio correspondiente, indicando que hubo falencias en el manejo de la información
Descripción :	The research work presented below addresses the issue of social conflicts due to mining and how these arise in the territory of Telimbela, they are analyzed based on the information collected through the mixed method, carrying out a bibliographic review of mining, the theory of conflict and the theory of resource mobilization to later carry out the corresponding surveys, which were applied to 344 people who were the population sample of the sector. Within the surveys, possible factors that generate the conflicts are analyzed and evidence if there was a socialization; and two interviews, one with the representative of the parish and one with the company. The objective of this research was to study the social conflicts due to the mining process, in the Telimbela parish, Chimbo canton, Bolívar province, through interviews, surveys, to find out the causes and possible future confrontations.Starting with the hypothesis that the mining conflict in Telimbela arises from the distrust of the population regarding the impact of mining in the sector, the factors causing the social mining conflict within the Telimbela parish and the effectiveness of the mechanisms used to the socialization of the same in the territory, it is concluded that, if there was socialization about the mining project by the Yankuang mining company, however, the appropriate mechanisms were not applied to reach the entire corresponding territory, indicating that there were flaws in the management of the information
