Resumen :	El proyecto de investigación: técnicas de estudio en el desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas para fortalecer el aprendizaje significativo en los alumnos de quinto año de educación general básica paralelo “B” de la unidad educativa “Ángel Polibio chaves” de la ciudad de Guaranda provincia bolívar durante el año 2022, aborda la temática de las técnicas de estudio dentro del proceso de educación y su aporte e influencias en el aprendizaje significativo, de manera metódica se parte desde la observación y verifica mediante un estudio de campo y aplicación de entrevistas. La falta de utilización de las técnicas de estudio ha conllevado a los estudiantes, a ser memorista, conformistas y con limitado capital cultural, la misma que afecta al aprendizaje, ya que solo se preocupan más en aprobar las asignaturas y pasar el año, más que prender. Dentro de la investigación se realizó una investigación científica, se trabajó con 30 estudiantes de Quinto año de Educación Básica, un docente y un experto dentro de la temática, siendo ellos los que permitieron llegar a algunas determinaciones, que los docentes no utilizan adecuadamente las técnicas de estudio, no utilizan formas correctas de enseñanza, no incentiva el uso de técnicas de estudio, así mismo no incentivan el uso la imaginación y creatividad para elaborar trabajos autónomos en los estudiantes, y por ultimo no incentivan al análisis, la síntesis, al resumen, etc.
Descripción :	The research project: study techniques in the development of cognitive skills to strengthen meaningful learning in students of the fifth year of parallel basic general education "b" of the "Ángel Polibio Chaves" educational unit of the city of guaranda, Bolívar province during the year 2022, addresses the issue of study techniques within the education process and its contribution and influences on meaningful learning, in a methodical way, it starts from observation and verifies through a field study and application of interviews. The lack of use of study techniques has led students to be memorists, conformists and with limited cultural capital, the same that affects learning, since they only care more about passing the subjects and passing the year, more than turn on. Within the investigation, a scientific investigation was carried out, we worked with 30 students of the Fifth year of Basic Education, a teacher and an expert within the subject, being them the ones who allowed to reach some determinations, that the teachers do not use adequately the techniques study, do not use correct forms of teaching, do not encourage the use of study techniques, likewise do not encourage the use of imagination and creativity to develop autonomous work in students, and finally do not encourage analysis, synthesis, summary, etc.
