Resumen :	En la última década las empresas florícolas en el Ecuador han mostrado un gran progreso en la producción y expendio de flores que, si bien aporta en la economía del país, pero también representa una tarea de alto riesgo para el ambiente por la utilización principalmente de productos agroquímicos que son mezclas tóxicas. Para minimizar tal situación existe normas ambientales que deben ser puestas en práctica, no obstante, muy pocas empresas han hecho hincapié por cumplirlas sea por la ausencia de interés o desconocimiento lo que les limita en alcanzar una apropiada gestión ambiental dejando huellas nada beneficiosas en el ambiente y por ende en su desarrollo económico y es por ello que se hace necesario la aplicación de una herramienta útil para el efecto como es la auditoría ambiental. En tal sentido, el objetivo del proyecto de investigación es analizar el impacto de la auditoría ambiental en el desarrollo económico del 01 de enero del año 2017 al 31 de diciembre del año 2020, en la empresa de rosas de Mulaló Mulrosas Cía. Ltda., del cantón Latacunga de la provincia de Cotopaxi. El tipo de investigación es descriptiva, bibliográfico-documental y correlacional, tiene un enfoque mixto cualitativo-cuantitativo, los métodos de investigación fueron: deductivo e inductivo y los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron la encuesta y la entrevista que se aplicaron a los colaboradores y al gerente de la empresa en ese orden. El principal resultado es que la empresa no ha puesto en práctica una auditoría ambiental de cumplimiento y que el 32% de las medidas del plan de manejo ambiental se ha cumplido. Descripción :	In the last decade, flower companies in Ecuador have shown great progress in the production and sale of flowers, which, although it contributes to the country's economy, but also represents a high-risk task for the environment due to the use mainly of products agrochemicals that are toxic mixtures. To minimize such a situation, there are environmental regulations that must be put into practice, however, very few companies have made an effort to comply with them, either due to the lack of interest or ignorance, which limits them in achieving an appropriate environmental management, leaving traces that are not beneficial in the environment and therefore in its economic development and that is why it is necessary to apply a useful tool for this purpose, such as environmental auditing. In this sense, the objective of the research project is to analyze the impact of the environmental audit on economic development from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2020, in the rose company of Mulaló Mulrosas Cía. Ltda. of the Latacunga canton of the province of Cotopaxi. The type of research is descriptive, bibliographic-documentary and correlational, it has a mixed qualitative-quantitative approach, the research methods were: deductive and inductive and the data collection instruments were the survey and the interview that were applied to the collaborators and to the company manager in that order. The main result is that the company has not implemented an environmental audit of compliance and that 32% of the measures of the environmental management plan have been fulfilled.
