Abstract
La investigación desarrollada a continuación tiene como objetivo determinar la
visión prospectiva de la educación superior de la carrera de Terapia Física de la
Universidad Estatal de Bolívar en los años 2020 y 2025. Para dar cumplimiento a este
propósito se diseñó como metodología un enfoque cuantitativo del tipo documental y
prospectivo y de diseño exploratorio, no experimental de campo, aplicando a una
población de 11 docentes de la carrera de Terapía Física, 76 estudiantes y 10
empleadores tres cuestionarios cerrado aplicado haciendo uso de Google Forms, los
datos fueron analizados empleando el software IBM v.25 y Excel para generar las tablas
y gráficas que permitieron comprender y analizar los resultados obtenidos. A partir de
la información recopilada se obtuvo como resultado que desde la percepción de los
docentes la malla curricular está adecuada a las necesidades actuales del país, así mismo
con relación a la visión prospectiva de los docentes se identificó que los mismos otorgan
mucha importancia al desarrollo igualitario de los conocimientos teóricos, prácticos,
tecnológicos y éticos, mientras que los estudiantes consideraron que debían reforzarse
aspectos sobre los conocimientos prácticos y éticos, y por parte de los empleadores se
conoció que existía demanda laboral insatisfecha para los Terapeutas. A partir de los
resultados se generaron posibles escenarios prospectivos destacándose que “El perfil
de los egresados de la carrera de Terapia Física de la Universidad Estatal de Bolívar
cumple parcialmente con las necesidades de los empleadores privados y públicos por
lo que se incluirán en la malla curricular nuevos contenidos y asignaturas ajustadas a
los requerimientos de los usuarios”. De forma general se formuló un escenario
prospectivo que sostiene que los futuros profesionales de terapia física cumplirán con
las necesidades de los futuros empleadores tanto privados como públicos, al contar
conocimientos científicos, tecnológico y el desarrollo de habilidades prácticas para su
futuro ejercicio profesional, siendo una posible como necesidad futura, la inclusión
actual de asignaturas donde se aborde la atención intercultural, aplicación de métodos
alternativos, y desarrollo de habilidades y conocimientos sobre el uso y manejo de
tecnologías de punta.
Description
The objective of the research developed below is to determine the prospective vision of
higher education for the Physical Therapy career at the State University of Bolívar in
the years 2020 and 2025. To fulfill this purpose, a quantitative approach of the type
documentary and prospective and exploratory design, non-experimental in the field,
applying to a population of 11 teachers of the Physical Therapy career, 74 students and
10 employers three closed questionnaires applied using Google Forms, the data were
analyzed using the IBM software v.25 and Excel to generate the tables and graphs that
allowed to understand and analyze the results obtained. From the information collected,
it was obtained as a result that from the teachers' perception the curriculum is adequate
to the current needs of the country, likewise in relation to the prospective vision of the
teachers, it was identified that they attach great importance to development theoretical,
practical, technological and ethical knowledge was equal, while the students considered
that aspects of practical and ethical knowledge should be reinforced, and it was known
from the employers that there was an unsatisfied labor demand for Therapists. From the
results, possible prospective scenarios were generated, highlighting that "The profile of
the graduates of the Physical Therapy career of the State University of Bolívar partially
meets the needs of private and public employers, so they will be included in the
curriculum. new content and subjects adjusted to user requirements”. In general, a
prospective scenario was formulated that maintains that future physical therapy
professionals will meet the needs of future employers, both private and public, by
having scientific and technological knowledge and the development of practical skills
for their future professional practice, being a possible as a future need, the current
inclusion of subjects that address intercultural care, application of alternative methods,
and development of skills and knowledge on the use and management of cutting-edge
technologies.
