Resumen :	La presente investigación se fundamenta en la necesidad de introducir los procesos automatizados de Matrículas y Control de Calificaciones en la Escuela Coronel José García de la Parroquia La Asunción, en el Periodo Académico 2010-2011, tomando como punto de partida mejorar el proceso de matrícula y control de calificaciones. Esta actividad se ha venido realizando de forma manual (como en casi todas las instituciones educativas del cantón San José de Chimbo) con la aparición de nuevas tecnologías para el manejo y administración de la información, se ha creído conveniente generar como aplicación informática basada en el uso de base de datos, desarrollado en Visual Basic 6.0 y Sql Server 2005 para poder mejorar el proceso de Matricula y Control de Calificaciones de los estudiantes de la institución antes mencionada. El objetivo principal de este proyecto informático es hacer más fácil el trabajo del director y personal administrativo que allí laboran, este sistema los ayudará a llevar el Proceso de Matrículas y Control de las Calificaciones, a través de una Base de Datos que ayudara a automatizar el proceso de los registros a los docentes y personal administrativo, mejorando así la institución Educativa en nuestro parroquia la Asunción. Con la utilización de un sistema informático que será diseñado con herramientas fáciles de aplicar y manipular, creemos que se podrá facilitar a la directiva de la Escuela Coronel José García una manera más correcta de desarrollar sus informes sin tener que preocuparse por hacer cálculos o tener la información a la disposición en papel, sino de una manera más sencilla y eficaz hablando en términos informáticos. Además de tener un acceso a las calificaciones de los estudiantes e informes con datos completos acerca de los mismos como son sus nombres completos, edades, dirección, grado que cursan, entre otros. Consideramos que a través de este sistema informático podamos dar soluciones oportunas y efectivas con la automatización del proceso de matrículas a esta institución.
Descripción :	The present investigation is based in the necessity of introducing the automated processes of Registrations and Control of Qualifications in the School Colonel José García of the Parish The Asunción, in the Academic Period 2010-2011, taking as starting point to improve the registration process and control of qualifications. This activity one has come carrying out in a manual way (like in almost all the educational institutions of the canton San José of Chimbo) with the appearance of new technologies for the handling and administration of the information, it has felt convenient to generate as computer application based on the database use, developed in Visual Basic 6.0 and Sql Server 2005 to be able to improve the process of it Registers and Control of the students' of the institution Qualifications before mentioned. The main objective of this computer project is to make easier the director's work and executive staff that there work, this system will help them to take the Process of Registrations and Control of the Qualifications, through a Database that helped to automate the process from the registrations to the educational ones and executive staff, improving this way the Educational institution in our parish the Asunción. With the use of a computer system that will be designed with tools easy to apply and to manipulate, we believe that one will be able to facilitate to the directive of the School Colonel José García a more correct way to develop their reports without having to worry to make calculations or to have the information to the disposition in paper, but in a simpler and more effective way speaking in computer terms. Besides having an access to the qualifications of the students and reports with complete data about the same ones as they are their complete names, ages, address, grade that you/they study, among others. We consider that through this computer system we can give opportune and effective solutions with the automation from the process of registrations to this institution.
