    The forests are necessary ecosystems for the life. They are the you inhabit of alive beings' multitude, since it regulates the water, they conserve the floor and the atmosphere and multitude of useful products gives. Desempañan an important and fundamental paper in the climatic regulation, the maintenance of the sources and flows of water and the conservation of the floors. This investigation was carried out in the microcuenca of the tideland Payacacao of the canton Echeandía, county Bolívar, located to an altitude of 624 msnm, with a half temperature of 21°C, a precipitation of 2300 mm. thought about as objectives: a) Carry out the line study bases of the main sources of water and native vegetation on the sector Payacacao of the canton Echeandía. b) Obtain an inventory of the sources of water in the sector Payacacao. c) Elaborate a registration of the native vegetation in the sector Payacacao. A descriptive statistic was used it was calculated the frequency, arithmetic mean, maximum value, minimum and Variance. The main results were: It was identified 12 sources of water. The biggest flow of water in dry time was 6,00l/s and in winter it was of 14,04 l/s. The total solids, dissolved solids and suspended in the water they are inferior to the acceptability threshold for the humans; the pH of the water is among the acceptability range. The chemical demand of oxygen is smaller to 30 mg/L and the biochemical demand of oxygenate it doesn't reach the 2 mg/L. Was 13 arboreal species contained in 10 families, standing out the species Inga edulis with 3,00 copies, in the species Cordia macrantha, Triplaris guayaquilensis Wedd and Carapa guianensis Aubl one had 2 trees; the species Protium fimbriatum; Salacia sp; Grias neuberthii; Quararibea funebris; Spirotheca rimbachii; Trichilia pallida; Cedrela odonata; Ficus youngest and Manilkara zapota had 1 tree for species. The conformation arbustive consists of 7 families with 8 goods. The family with the biggest number of species was the Asteraceae. The main grasses you contains in two families the Poaceae and Graminaceae.
