dc.descriptionIn the present investigation it was possible to know the different problems in the maintenance processes of computer and network equipment at the State University of Bolívar. After having carried out the pertinent research, our proposal was the development and implementation of a web system that helps with the management of processes that was later called the System for the Maintenance of Computer and Network Equipment (SMEIR). Thus, it was possible to improve the processes and management within the Networks and Maintenance Unit of the Bolívar State University, helping to keep the information organized, available and updated, reducing the time in generating reports. The SMEIR system was developed under the “XP” Extreme Programming methodology with the help of free software tools. To obtain the information, we worked with the different types, methods and techniques of the investigation, such as the observation of the survey and the interview that was directed to the technical staff of the University Networks and Maintenance Unit. This allowed obtaining relevant information on the difficulties that the maintenance unit had been going through. Reason for which it allowed the development of the web system called System for the Maintenance of Computer Equipment and Network (SMEIR), thus automating the unit.en_US
dc.description.abstractEn la presente investigación se pudo conocer los diferentes problemas en los procesos de mantenimiento de equipo informático y de red en la Universidad Estatal de Bolívar. Luego de haber realizado la investigación pertinente nuestra propuesta fue el desarrollo e implementación de un sistema web que ayude con la gestión de procesos que posteriormente fue denominado Sistema para el Mantenimiento de Equipo Informático y de Red (SMEIR). Es así que se logró mejorar los procesos y las gestiones dentro de la Unidad de Redes y Mantenimiento de la Universidad Estatal de Bolívar ayudando a mantener la información ordenada, disponible y actualizada, reduciendo el tiempo en la generación de formatos y reportes. El sistema SMEIR se desarrolló bajo la metodología de Programación Extrema “XP” con la ayuda de herramientas de software libre. Para obtener la información se trabajó con los distintos tipos, métodos y técnicas de la investigación como la observación la encuesta y la entrevista que fue dirigida al personal técnico de la Unidad de Redes y Mantenimiento de la universidad. Esto permitió obtener información relevante sobre las dificultades que venía atravesando la unidad de mantenimiento. Razón por la cual permitió el desarrollo del sistema web denominado Sistema para el Mantenimiento de Equipo Informático y de Red (SMEIR), automatizando así la unidad.en_US
