| dc.description | Currently, the manufacturing sector of the province of Bolívar requires technological tools to optimize its strategic development, considering that it represents 22.06% of the local GDP (INEC, 2024). This degree project implemented a specialized geoportal that allows the visualization of the geographic distribution and socioeconomic characteristics of the manufacturing companies in the province, facilitating the identification of areas with higher productive concentration and the analysis of business opportunities. The developed system includes key functionalities such as: dynamic filtering by type of industry, generation of reports in PDF/Excel formats for decision-making, and interactive maps with updated information. For its construction, the Scrum methodology was applied with a three-layer architecture, using technologies such as PHP with the Laravel framework for the backend, PostgreSQL with the PostGIS extension for spatial data management, and the Leaflet library over OpenStreetMap for interactive visualization. For its implementation, technical standards were considered to ensure the scalability of the system and its adaptability to future updates. The results demonstrated that the geoportal is an effective tool to support business planning, providing entrepreneurs, business owners, and authorities with reliable geo-referenced information that was not previously centralized. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Actualmente, el sector manufacturero de la provincia de Bolívar requiere herramientas tecnológicas para optimizar su desarrollo estratégico, considerando que representa el 22.06% del PIB local (INEC, 2024). Este trabajo de titulación implementó un geoportal especializado que permite visualizar la distribución geográfica y características socioeconómicas de las empresas manufactureras de la provincia, facilitando la identificación de zonas con mayor concentración productiva y el análisis de oportunidades comerciales. El sistema desarrollado incluye funcionalidades claves como: filtrado dinámico por tipo de industria, generación de reportes en formatos PDF/Excel para toma de decisiones, y mapas interactivos con información actualizada. Para su construcción, se aplicó la metodología Scrum con arquitectura de tres capas, utilizando tecnologías como PHP con framework Laravel para el backend, PostgreSQL con extensión PostGIS para el manejo de datos espaciales, y la librería Leaflet sobre OpenStreetMap para la visualización interactiva. Para su implementación se consideró estándares técnicos que garantizan la escalabilidad del sistema y su adaptabilidad a futuras actualizaciones. Los resultados demostraron que el geoportal es una herramienta eficaz para apoyar la planificación de empresas, ofreciendo a empresarios, emprendedores y autoridades información geo-referenciada confiable que antes no estaba centralizada. | |
