Resumen
El presente proyecto tecnológico tiene como objetivo diseñar un sistema web para la gestión y
adopción de mascotas en el refugio de animales de Guaranda, con el propósito de fortalecer el
manejo del centro mediante la digitalización de información, difusión de mascotas y registro de
ciudadanos interesados en adoptar. La investigación se fundamenta en las teorías de arquitectura
de software, metodologías ágiles de desarrollo y sistemas de información. Para el desarrollo del
sistema se emplea la arquitectura de capas (React, Laravel y PostgreSQL); el sistema propuesto
permite al personal administrador gestionar el registro de mascotas y su historial médico, revisar
y aprobar solicitudes de adopción en etapas, administrar usuarios y notificaciones; mientras que
el ciudadano puede explorar el catálogo, registrarse, enviar solicitudes de adopción con
información de su hogar y dar seguimiento al estado de su trámite. El proyecto considera la
normativa ecuatoriana en materia de protección de datos personales y propiedad intelectual.
Como resultado contribuye a la transformación digital del refugio, optimizando sus procesos
internos y promoción de adopción responsable de fauna urbana en el cantón Guaranda, Ecuador.
Descripción
This research project aims to design a web-based system for the management and adoption of
pets at the animal shelter of Guaranda, with the aim of strengthening the center's operations
through the digitization of information, the promotion of pets, and the registration of citizens
interested in adopting. The research is based on theories of software architecture, agile
development methodologies, and information systems. For the development of the system, a
layered architecture (React, Laravel and PostgreSQL) is employed; the proposed system allows
administrative staff to manage pet records and medical histories, review and approve adoption
applications in stages, and manage users and notifications; while citizens can browse the catalog,
register, submit adoption applications with information about their household, and track the
status of their application. The guidelines established in Ecuadorian regulations regarding the
protection of personal data and intellectual property are taken into account. As a result, the
project contributes to the digital transformation of the shelter to optimize its internal processes
and promote the responsible adoption of urban wildlife in the canton of Guaranda, Ecuador
