Abstract
La presente investigación se centró en los componentes esenciales que presenta el acontecimiento turístico denominado “Rincón Mágico” en Guaranda, pues el objetivo del estudio fue analizar el impacto social y económico de esta declaratoria. Se utilizó una metodología de investigación descriptiva con enfoque cuantitativo, para lo cual se procedió a través de la recopilación de información por medio de la aplicación de encuestas, las cuales se formularon en tres secciones que respondan a los elementos de investigación. Los resultados mostraron que, para los establecimientos ubicados dentro del polígono referencial, la declaratoria ha tenido un impacto positivo en la actividad turística y el desarrollo económico de la localidad. Se concluyó que el incremento en el flujo turístico y una mejora en la calidad de vida de la comunidad local representa el impacto socioeconómico más significativo, beneficiando tanto a los establecimientos como a la población en general. Esta iniciativa ha fomentado el turismo y ha contribuido al bienestar social de la comunidad de Guaranda

This research focused on the essential components of the tourism event called “Rincón Mágico” in Guaranda, since the objective of the study was to analyze the social and economic impact of this declaration. A descriptive research methodology with a quantitative approach was used, for which we proceeded through the collection of information by means of the application of surveys, which were formulated in three sections that respond to the research elements. The results showed that, for the establishments located within the reference polygon, the declaration has had a positive impact on tourism activity and the economic development of the locality. It was concluded that the increase in tourist flow and an improvement in the quality of life of the local community represents the most significant socioeconomic impact, benefiting both the establishments and the population in general. This initiative has promoted tourism and contributed to the social well-being of the community of Guaranda
