Resumen : This research was applied to students of the eighth year of Basic General Education National School Agricultural Technician Chunchi canton, parish parent; province of Chimborazo, in the period 2010-2011, for the purpose of diagnosing and instead propose an alternative solution to a problem that has long been hindering the academic development and has been a concern not only for teachers of the institution but of all involved, we refer to the same family overprotection is moved or transferred with serious consequences to the teaching - learning. During the course of the investigation it was discovered some elements or forms of expression of over-familiar in areas such as: lack of an independent and autonomous normal development, including aspects such as personal grooming, clothing, food that necessarily need the support of their fathers and mothers. If we break that overprotection is excessive and exaggerated care by their parents is specified in this investigation to observe elements as freedom in their efforts to do what they want, this is noticeable even among teachers, indulge in all, especially in the purchase of their affection through the consumption of materials, all these aspects have not only adversely affected the development of his personality but also replication more strongly in education. The family overprotection is a problem that according to this study moves to education, as is the case of students of the eighth year of Basic General Education College under study bringing the following result: Absence in more disciplined control the duties of both curricular and extracurricular activities by teachers, slow academic progress, absence from the practice of values primarily related to the development of his personality, not independent in performing their tasks always need the help of others, all has come to have a negative impact on the appearance and their academic performance. The research was divided into four chapters, but first name what includes an overview of the current situation in the approach to the subject, background search, the problem, rationale,which emphasizes the importance of research, scope and limitations as well as the general and specific objectives, hypothesis and the operationalization of variables. Followed by Chapter I. which is the theoretical framework. Comprised of the theoretical bases that define what is the over-the risks, effects of different stages, overprotection and child which includes academic performance in the same way its definition and types The Framework. It assumes the most significant concepts in both the planning and construction of over-theoretical, and academic performance, followed by the legal framework and concluding with the referential theory which is constructed from the reference site and science that is the object of investigation In Chapter II includes Methodological Strategies Regarding the methodology, presents the methods in which we use inductive deductive and analytical literature on the type of research (by the way, by level, by the place) sample universe and work with a universe of 95 people of both sexes, as well as techniques and instruments for data collection using the survey as a tool for collecting data in order to meet the existing index of over-familiar and their influence academic performance of students in the eighth year of Basic General Education National College Agricultural Technician Chunchi Canton, and this chapter concludes with data processing, analysis represented by matrices, statistical tables and bar charts and pie. Chapter III. It refers to the structure as performed the analysis and interpretation of data, the conclusions that they arrived, the recommendations and suggested testing the hypothesis. Chapter IV. PROPOSAL composed of seven methodological structure elements, ranging from the title, introduction, objectives, development, evidence of the application, the results of the application, and concludes with some conclusions. This research culminated in the bibliography and attachments (photos of coexistence workshops, model of the surveys, the sketch of the institution, governing the certification of having completed the proposal in the institution, and payroll which people are the protagonists of this research. The proposal was socialized into the institution and is a way to contribute and replicate through the exchange of experiences with society the importance of these issues that often times are invisivilizados or are not taken into consideration.
