Resumen
Se realizo el presente estudio de caso viendo la problemática en la comunidad de
Gradas sobre la intervención holístico de los habitantes de la comunidad de Gradas en los
procesos de reducción de riesgos, lo cual es fundamental entender la naturaleza y la magnitud
de los riesgos y la intervención de los habitantes en los mismos.
De este modo, el presente estudio de caso busca investigar y analizar la intervención
de los habitantes de la comunidad de Gradas de la ciudad de Guaranda frente a los riesgos
naturales que están expuestos, además cabe recalcar la importancia de dotar a la población
de instrumentos, información y capacidades, actitudes y prácticas que la población posee
para responder ante una emergencia.
Para cumplir con los objetivos propuestos se aplicó encuesta a los habitantes de la
comunidad de Gradas y la revisión bibliografía del PDOT, así como también para determinar
el nivel de intervención se utilizó la matriz de nivel de participación a nivel nacional y local,
en donde se aplicó las encuestas a un representante por familia de la comunidad de Gradas
obteniendo el resultado de la mismo se propuso un modelo de participación en los procesos
de reducción de riesgos sirva como guía para la elaboración de planes de emergencia y
contingencia frente a riesgos naturales.
El presente estudio de caso está constituido de la siguiente manera:

CAPITULO III, Se expone el marco metodológico que se utilizó para la
investigación; nivel de investigación, población y muestra, así como también las técnicas e
instrumentos de recolección de información, técnicas de procesamiento y análisis de
resultados.
CAPITULO IV, En este capítulo se expone los resultados obtenidos según los
objetivos establecidos
CAPITULO V, Contiene las conclusiones y recomendaciones

The present case study was carried out looking at the problem in the community of
Gradas on the holistic intervention of the inhabitants of the community of Gradas in the
processes of risk reduction, which is essential to understand the nature and magnitude of the
risks and the intervention of the inhabitants in them.
In this way, the present case study seeks to investigate and analyze the intervention
of the inhabitants of the Gradas community in the city of Guaranda in the face of the natural
risks that they are exposed to, and it is also worth emphasizing the importance of providing
the population with instruments, information and capacities, attitudes and practices that the
population possesses to respond to an emergency.
To meet the proposed objectives, a survey was applied to the inhabitants of the
community of Gradas and the literature review of the PDOT, as well as to determine the level
of intervention, the participation level matrix was used at the national and local levels, where
The surveys were applied to a representative per family of the community of Gradas,
obtaining the result of the same, a model of participation in the processes of risk reduction
was proposed to serve as a guide for the elaboration of emergency and contingency plans
against natural risks.
