Resumen :	Los cuentos y leyendas son parte de la cultura y tradición oral más antigua de la humanidad, estas narrativas que en su gran mayoría se caracterizan por el enriquecimiento literario que están compuestas, han permitido que muchas generaciones de familias y sociedades se apropien del sentido de pertenencia, vivan la historia y alimente la fantasía y creatividad de la población. “Antología de los Cuentos y Leyendas del Cantón Guaranda, provincia de Bolívar, año 2017” es un trabajo de investigación que se centra en rescatar parte de la cultura, reconociendo los factores que han hecho que se pierda en gran medida la tradición oral; la problemática es que no existe archivos escritos o digitales que los almacene, las narrativas son parte de la esencia, historia y tradición del cantón Guaranda; la metodología propone una interesante profundización del conocimiento de la población en tema de cuentos leyendas, se entrevista a historiadores, gestores culturales y personajes que en su gran mayoría tienen en común la cronología de sus años y conocen estas narrativas. El cantón Guaranda no posee una recopilación de los cuentos y leyendas que sean específicos o especializados en eso, existen varios libros donde se mezclan los cuentos y leyendas con historia, anécdotas y biografía de personajes. A esto se suma que los libros no son de fácil acceso y no están digitalizados. Este proyecto propone recopilar los cuentos y leyendas para sistematizar y difundir a la ciudadanía, de esta manera sea de fácil acceso a la población, por medio de una investigación de procesos, que identifique a los narradores e historiadores para que aporten con sus conocimientos, analizar la evolución o involución de los cuentos y leyenda de Guaranda como cantón, investigar qué nivel de conocimiento le brinda la ciudadanía a esta parte de la cultura. Descripción :	Stories and legends are part of mankind's oldest oral culture and tradition, these narratives that are mostly characterized by the literary enrichment which they offer, have allowed many generations of families and societies to appropriate the meaning of belonging, live history and feed the imagination and creativity of the population. "Anthology of the Tales and Legends of Canton Guaranda, Province of Bolívar, year 2017" is a research work that focuses on rescuing part of this culture, recognizing the factors that have caused a diminishing of oral tradition; the problem being that there are no archives in existence that store them, whether written or digital, the narratives that are part of the essence, history and tradition of Canton Guaranda; this methodology proposes an interesting study into the population in terms of stories and legends, and the interviewing of historians, cultural authorities and characters who, for the most part, have age and knowledge of the narratives in common. Canton Guaranda does not have a collection of stories and legends that are specific or specialized in that, there are several books where stories and legends are mixed with history, anecdotes and biography of characters. To this is added the fact that the books are not easily accessible and are not digitized. This project proposes to collect the stories and legends to digitize and distribute to the population, making it easily accessible to them, through a procedural investigation that identifies the narrators and historians so that they contribute their knowledge, analyze the evolution or involution of the stories and legends of Guaranda as a canton, and investigate what level of knowledge the population contributes to this part of the culture.
