Resumen :	La idea a defender del presente proyecto de investigación es “El Centro Natural “La Chorrera” y su impacto económico en el desarrollo sostenible y sustentable del Cantón Caluma,” motivo por el cual se recopiló toda la información de las acciones que ha realizado el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal del Cantón Caluma para impulsar y mantener el desarrollo turístico del Centro Natural “La Chorrera” fundamentados en el desarrollo tanto sostenible, sustentable como socioeconómico. Con el presente estudio se busca conocer el aprovechamiento turístico que realiza el cantón al Centro Natural “La Chorrera” y las actividades que se han desarrollado para promover el mismo, para de esta manera diagnosticar si dichas actividades están basadas en criterios de sostenibilidad y sustentabilidad que busquen el equilibrio económico y equitativo, comercial rentable, ecológico y socioculturalmente aceptable y a su vez determinar el impacto de aquellas acciones turísticas en la economía del cantón. Para la obtención de la información, se investigó al sector comercial urbano del cantón Caluma, a los turistas que visitan los lugares turísticos del cantón y al Alcalde del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal del Cantón. Como base y fundamento teórico científico se utilizó lo expresado por los autores del libro “Identidades 11” sobre el desarrollo sostenible y sustentable y el criterio de Jorge Bonilla en su artículo científico sobre el impacto económico turístico. La metodología empleada en el trabajo investigativo permitió obtener toda la información necesaria para la realización del mismo, tanto teórico como práctico. Cada una de las acciones identificadas en el proceso de realización del estudio investigativo permitió diagnosticar el estado actual en el que se encuentra el desarrollo turístico del cantón Caluma y el Centro Natural “La Chorrera” y el impacto económico que ha tenido dicho desarrollo, para proponer acciones de promoción y conservación basadas en principios de sostenibilidad y sustentabilidad que ayuden al mejoramiento del centro natural y a la economía del cantón
Descripción :	The idea to defend this research project is "La Chorrera Natural Center" and its economic impact on the sustainable and sustainable development of Canton Caluma, "which is why all information was collected on the actions carried out by the Government Autonomous Municipal Decentralized Canton Caluma to promote and maintain the tourism development of the "La Chorrera" Natural Center based on sustainable, sustainable and socioeconomic development. The present study seeks to know the tourist use made by the canton to the Natural Center "La Chorrera" and the activities that have been developed to promote it, in order to diagnose if these activities are based on criteria of sustainability and sustainability that Seek economic and equitable, commercial, profitable, ecological and socio-culturally acceptable balance and, at the same time, determine the impact of those tourist actions on the economy of the canton. To obtain the information, we investigated the urban commercial sector of the canton Caluma, the tourists who visit the tourist sites of the canton and the Mayor of the Autonomous Government Decentralized Municipal Canton. As a basis and scientific theoretical basis was used what was expressed by the authors of the book "Identities 11" on sustainable and sustainable development and the criterion of Jorge Bonilla in his scientific article on the tourist economic impact. The methodology used in the investigative work allowed to obtain all the necessary information for the realization of the same, both theoretical and practical. Each of the actions identified in the process of conducting the research study made it possible to diagnose the current state of tourism development in the canton of Caluma and the "La Chorrera" Natural Center and the economic impact of this development to propose Promotion and conservation actions based on principles of sustainability and sustainability that help the improvement of the natural center and the economy of the canton.
