Tratamiento de intususcepción intestinal mediante la técnica quirúrgica de Enteropexia en caninos en el cantón Guaranda

e present investigation had as its main objective the treatment of intussusception in dogs by enteropexia technique , for which 15 dogs under one year of different races, in which a single surgeon practice surgical technique, used to all animals investigated tests were performed hematology and blood chemistry to develop an appropriate anesthetic plan according to the individual needs of patients. In the investigation it was observed that 53.33 % were males and 46.66 % were females. Observed that there was no sex predilection according to the presentation of this pathology. German Shepherd, Chow - chow , French Poodle and Mestizo, mixed breed dogs were intussusception who presented more frequently , four breeds of dogs were used. The average age of dogs was 6.8 months, with average weights of 5.3 kg. Patients showed no alterations in heart rate, breathing and temperature before and during surgery. Enteropexia technique was 100 % effective in patients undergoing surgery, and no recurrences were observed. The healing time of skin wounds was 7.9 days
