Resumen : This research has been carried out in the fourth years of Basic Education in the Simon Bolivar School Guaranda city, with the theme the application of the didactic materials in the process of shared learning of English during the school year from 2010 to 2011. After watching the main problems in the process of shared learning of English as the inadequate implementation of educational materials in developing classes which is of concern that students' failure to learn values and as a solution to this problem have been set some objectives to support the process of shared learning of English, as well as appropriate development of the skills. Within the framework embraces the importance of employment and implementation of such a transcendental way as well as the advantages and disadvantages of its use according to topic, while referring to the use of audiovisual and facilitators’ students to construct their own knowledge. This project is detailed on the types of materials that should be used according to learning styles and individuality of the learner to learn, and thus achieve a greater Interest in practicing the language as this requires constant, inside and outside the classroom. As a commitment to the development of the educational process, it is possible to propose the implementation of practical guidance on the use of materials that serve as support for the development of classes in an interactive and dynamic way to a better knowledge of English in children. Through this research work and then with the implementation of the proposal tries to give a positive change in the attitude of teachers and students because now more than ever it is essential to learn the English language. Every day is used more in almost all areas of knowledge and human development. Practically it can be argued that it is the global language of today's world and for this reason can not be left in the background teaching and learning.
