Resumen :	El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó motivado por dos necesidades latentes en nuestra institución educativa, como lo es el desempeño laboral y la salud de los trabajadores que en ella realizan sus labores. En base a estas motivaciones se diseñó una investigación cuantitativa con enfoque descriptivo, donde se estableció como objetivo general determinar si existía o no Burnout en el personal docente y administrativo de la Facultad Ciencias de la Salud y del Ser Humano de la Universidad Estatal de Bolívar, contando con tres poblaciones muestrales 60 docentes, 5 administrativos quiénes serán actores fundamentales del estudio además de la participación de 280 estudiantes en la evaluación del desempeño docente. Utilizando como técnicas e instrumentos para recolectar la información: el cuestionario realizado por Cristina Maslach “Maslach Burnout Inventory” el cual demostró que si existe indicios del Sindrome de Burnout en 37 docentes y está estrechamente relacionado con el desempeño laboral de los mismos, por otra parte indicó que el personal administrativo no se encuentra afectado, concluyendo que los docentes son quienes se ven más afectados por el Sindrome de Burnout debido a su extenuante jornada laboral encontrando en nuestro estudio que el sexo masculino es el más afectado en un 54% mientras que al sexo femenino afecta tan solo en un 46 %, en cuanto a la experiencia laboral los más afectados son aquellos que tienen menos de 5 años trabajando en el ámbito de docencia que corresponde el 40.5%, mientras que con experiencia de 5 a 10 años se encuentran afectados el 37,8%; debido que en los primeros años al iniciar como formador académico no se cuenta con suficiente experiencia. Descripción :	This research work was carried out motivated by two latent needs in our educational institution, such as the work performance and the health of the workers who work therein. Based on these motivations, a quantitative research with a descriptive approach was designed, where it was established as a general objective to determine whether or not there was Burnout in the teaching and administrative staff of the Faculty of Health and Human Sciences of the State University of Bolivar, counting With three sample populations 60 teachers, 5 administrators who will be fundamental actors of the study in addition to the participation of 280 students in the evaluation of teacher performance. Using as techniques and instruments to collect the information: the questionnaire conducted by Cristina Maslach "Maslach Burnout Inventory" which showed that if there are indications of Burnout syndrome in 37 teachers and is closely related to their work performance, on the other hand He indicated that the administrative staff is not affected, concluding that teachers are the ones who are most affected by the Burnout syndrome due to their exhausting working hours finding in our study that the male sex is the most affected in 54% while the female sex affects only 46%, in terms of work experience the most affected are those who have less than 5 years working in the field of teaching that corresponds to 40.5%, while with experience of 5 to 10 years 37.8% are affected; because in the first years of starting as an academic trainer there is not enough experience.
