Resumen :	En el presente trabajo investigativo se realizó el Modelamiento de la Vulnerabilidad Sísmica del Edificio del Hospital Básico IESS de la Ciudad de Guaranda, cuyo Jefe Administrativo es el Abogado Víctor Arregui, el hospital está ubicado en la vía Ambato y Agusto Chávez s/n de la ciudad de Guaranda provincia Bolívar, para realizar este trabajo se ha empleado los software CYPECAD y ETABS que son programas de análisis y diseño estructural basado en el método de los elementos finitos con características especiales para el análisis y diseño estructural de edificaciones. Estos programas trabajan dentro de un sistema de datos ingresados, todo lo que se necesita es integrar el modelo dentro de un sistema de análisis y diseño con una versátil interfase. Los efectos que el programa proporciona son instantáneos y automáticos. Para la evaluación de la vulnerabilidad del Hospital Básico del IESS, se procedió al levantamiento de la patología presente en la estructura, mediante visitas de campo y con una observación minuciosa de cada afectación que presenta la estructura, y después realizar un levantamiento arquitectónico del bloque que fue tomado como objeto de estudio. Los datos obtenidos y calculados según las Norma Ecuatoriana de Construcción (NEC, 2015) se los ingresa al sistema o software ETABS, para realizar el modelamiento y evaluar el comportamiento de la estructura cuando ocurre un sismo, también se pudo observar el comportamiento de la misma. Adicional en este trabajo investigativo se realizó el plan de reducción de riesgos, considerando otras vulnerabilidades que también afectan de manera directa al Hospital Básico del IESS, cabe recalcar que es de suma importancia realizar esta intervención exhaustiva en Gestión de Riesgos debido a que el Hospital Básico del IESS por ser una estructura esencial y brindar servicio de salud tiene alta afluencia de personas, con esto constituiremos con una herramienta de gestión de riesgo, aportaremos en el desarrollo sostenible y a la reducción de riesgos en el Hospital Básico del IESS de la ciudad de Guaranda.
Descripción :	In the present investigative work, the Seismic Vulnerability Modeling of the IESS Basic Hospital Building of the City of Guaranda was carried out, whose Administrative Head is the Attorney Víctor Arregui, the hospital is located on the Ambato and Agusto Chávez road, s / n of the Ciudad de Guaranda province Bolívar, to carry out this work, the CYPECAD and ETABS software have been used, which are analysis and structural design programs based on the finite element method with special characteristics for the analysis and structural design of buildings. These programs work within a system of data entered, all that is needed is to integrate the model into a system of analysis and design with a versatile interface. The effects that the program provides are instantaneous and automatic. To evaluate the vulnerability of the IESS Basic Hospital, the pathology present in the structure was surveyed, by means of field visits and with a detailed observation of each affectation that the structure presents, and then to carry out a planimetric survey of the block that It was taken as an object of study. The data obtained and calculated according to the Ecuadorian Construction Standard (NEC, 2015) are entered into the ETABS system or software, to perform the modeling and evaluate the behavior of the structure when an earthquake occurs, the behavior of the same could also be observed . Additional in this research work was carried out the risk reduction plan, considering other vulnerabilities that also directly affect the Basic Hospital of the IESS, it should be stressed that it is very important to perform this comprehensive intervention in Risk Management because the Basic Hospital of the IESS for being an essential structure and providing health service has a high influx of people, with this we will be constituted with a risk management tool, we will contribute to sustainable development and risk reduction in the Basic Hospital of the IESS of the city of Guaranda.
