Resumen :	The safe administration of antibiotics contribute significantly to improve health status of the patient; however, its use is no risk except, compromising the safety of inpatient and therefore the quality of attention given to them by professional nurses. The research paper entitled: PATIENT SAFETY DURING Antibiotic therapy MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL NURSING IN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT 2 EMERGENCY HOSPITAL LUIS VERNAZA, Guayas province. NOVEMBER 2012 - JUNE 2013, aims to evaluate the safety of the patient during antibiotic administration by nursing staff in the unit 2 intensive care Emergency Hospital Luis Vernaza Canton Guayaquil province Guayas November 2012 to June 2013, consists of the following chapters: CHAPTER I. This chapter of the history of the hospital and detailed uci2 overview of the emergency service. The proposals and solutions presented by the World Health Organization together with the alliance for patient safety. Also management antibiotics consists in critically ill patients. Patient safety during the administration of antibiotics starts with review of the written prescription and medical indication then becomes the preparation, followed by the administration and registration; basic hygiene rules hands; antibiotic treatment received by patients and adverse reactions that can submitted.
Descripción :	La administración segura de antibióticos contribuyen de manera considerable a mejorar el estado de salud del paciente; sin embargo, su uso no está excepto de riesgos, comprometiendo la seguridad de los pacientes hospitalizados y por tanto la calidad de atención prestada a los mismos por el personal profesional de enfermería. El trabajo de investigación denominado: SEGURIDAD DEL PACIENTE DURANTE LA ADMINISTRACIÓN DE ANTIBIOTICOTERÁPIA POR EL PERSONAL DE ENFERMERÍA EN LA UNIDAD DE CUIDADOS INTENSIVOS 2 EMERGENCIA HOSPITAL LUIS VERNAZA, PROVINCIA DEL GUAYAS. NOVIEMBRE 2012 - JUNIO 2013, tiene como objetivo: Evaluar la seguridad del paciente durante la administración de antibioticoterápia por el personal de enfermería, en la unidad de cuidados intensivos 2 emergencia del Hospital Luis Vernaza cantón Guayaquil, provincia del Guayas Noviembre 2012 a Junio 2013, consta de los siguientes capítulos: CAPÍTULO I.- En este capítulo se detalla parte de la historia del hospital y generalidades del servicio de uci2 de emergencia. Las propuestas y soluciones que presenta la organización mundial de la salud junto a la alianza para la seguridad del paciente. Consta también el manejo de antibióticos en pacientes críticos. La seguridad del paciente durante la administración de antibióticos que inicia con la revisión de la prescripción e indicación médica escrita posteriormente se hace la preparación, seguido de la administración y el registro; normas básicas de higiene de manos; tratamiento antibiótico que reciben los pacientes y reacciones adversas que pueden presentarse.
