Resumen :	El trabajo investigativo de nombre PROTOCOLO DE RECOLECCION DE MUESTRAS DE SANGRE Y LECHE MATERNA Y SANGRE DEL RECIÉN NACIDO EN EL HOSPITAL BASICO IESS-GUARANDA, PERIODO JULIO-NOVIEMBRE 2018, ha sido realizado con la finalidad de proporcionar al personal de salud (medicina, enfermería y laboratorio), un documento que proporcione seguridad y el correcto desarrollo del procedimiento aplicado a los usuarios. Se planeó como objetivo general, elaborar un protocolo de recolección de muestras de sangre y leche materna y sangre del recién nacido en el Hospital Básico IESS Guaranda, que permitiera al personal de salud mejorar sus conocimientos siendo una herramienta útil en la realización de estos procedimientos; como respuesta al problema planteado se aplicó una metodología de investigación documental. Utilizando como instrumento para la recolección de datos una encuesta con un cuestionario, aplicado a 88 profesionales de la salud entre los cuales participaron 56 enfermeras 25 médicos y 7 laboratoristas. La encuesta aplicada permitió obtener información sobre la necesidad de disponer un protocolo de recolección de muestras, datos que una vez recolectados fueron procesados y analizados utilizando el sistema IBM SPSS, que permitió presentar la información obtenida mediante la representación gráfica además de una ponderación matemática cual estableció el grado de relevancia de la encuesta aplicada. Los resultados logrados concluyen que el Hospital Básico-IESS Guaranda no cuenta con un protocolo de toma muestras de sangre y leche materna y sangre del recién nacido, por lo que al culminar el trabajo investigativo se elaborara y validara el protocolo específico para tal efecto. Descripción :	The research work named PROTOCOL OF COLLECTION OF BLOOD SAMPLES AND BREAST MILK AND BLOOD OF THE NEWBORN IN THE BASIC HOSPITAL IESS-GUARANDA, PERIOD JULY-NOVEMBER 2018, has been made with the purpose of providing health personnel (medicine, nursing and laboratory), a document that provides security and the correct development of the procedure applied to users. The general objective was to prepare a protocol for the collection of samples of blood and breast milk and blood of the newborn at the IESS Guaranda Basic Hospital, which would allow health personnel to improve their knowledge, being a useful tool in carrying out these procedures; In response to the problem, a documentary research methodology was applied. Using as a tool for data collection a survey with a questionnaire, applied to 88 health professionals among which 56 nurses, 25 doctors and 7 laboratory workers participated. The applied survey allowed obtaining information about the need to have a sample collection protocol, data that once collected were processed and analyzed using the IBM SPSS system, which allowed to present the information obtained through the graphic representation in addition to a mathematical weighting that established the degree of relevance of the applied survey. The results obtained conclude that the Basic-IESS Guaranda Hospital does not have a protocol for taking samples of blood and breast milk and blood of the newborn, so at the end of the research work will be developed and validated the specific protocol for that purpose.
