Resumen :	El presente trabajo de investigación aborda la temática de la indecisión por parte de los estudiantes al escoger una carrera universitaria una vez terminado su ciclo de estudios secundarios, por lo que el título del estudio es: “FORTALECIMIENTO DEL MODELO DE ORIENTACIÓN VOCACIONAL PARA LA ELECCIÓN PROFESIONAL DE LOS ESTUDIANTES DE LA CARRERA DE COMERCIO DEL INSTITUTO TECNOLÓGICO SUPERIOR “GUARANDA”, PERIODO LECTIVO 2010 - 2011”.Una vez definido el tema y delineadas las variables: la Orientación Vocacional y Elección Profesional, se plantearon como objetivos el conocer las causas y consecuencias de la indecisión de los estudiantes para escoger una carrera universitaria. Se realizó una investigación bibliográfica sobre las variables ya indicadas enfocándose más en la problemática existente en el Instituto Superior Tecnológico “Guaranda”, para ello fue de gran ayuda la información recopilada en fuentes escritas y digitales. La metodología de trabajo de investigación se estableció en base a la encuesta realizada a estudiantes y entrevista a los miembros del Departamento de Orientación y Bienestar Estudiantil DOBE, para poder descubrir los principales factores que tienen incidencia en las indecisiones de los educandos, además se efectuó una encuesta a los estudiantes determinando varios aspectos puntuales que se ha detallado en la parte pertinente.A continuación se procedió a hacer una presentación de los resultados obtenidos en tablas y gráficos, para luego su análisis e interpretación, los cuales permitieron la elaboración de conclusiones y recomendaciones, que ayudó al DOBE en el fortalecimiento del modelo de Orientación Vocacional Vigente. Se procedió a diseñar y aplicar las Estrategias de Cambio en la Comunidad Educativa dirigida a estudiantes y miembros del DOBE, estas se aplicaron mediante un seminario taller, charlas, con la finalidad de disminuir la indecisión de los educandos del Instituto “Guaranda” en el momento de escoger una carrera universitaria, y, como consecuencia también su futuro profesional.Al finalizar la misma se pudo observar como los estudiantes se centraban en una adecuada comprensión de las distintas opciones profesionales que existen en el mundo de la educación, eligiendo aquella que cumpla con sus intereses y objetivos XII personales, maximizando el aprendizaje escolar, estimulando el desarrollo autónomo y respondiendo a los problemas personales y sociales que frenan su evolución personal. Se puede decir entonces que se ha logrado de alguna manera formar parte de su identidad, del “YO”, asumiendo un rol, un estatus, una forma de vida.
Descripción :	The present researching work involve the theme of the indecision by the students on which they have to choose the University career,once that they finished a secondary study cycle, so the little of study is: MODEL FOR PROPER PROFESSIONAL SELECTION FOR COMMERCE CAREER OF “GUARANDA” SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE, SCHOOL YEAR 2011. “Once defined the subject and outlined the following variables: the vocational orientation and professional selection the objectives were to determine the causes and consequences of the indecision of the students to choose a university career. It was made a bibliography research on the variables listed and focusing more on the existing problems at “Guaranda” Superior Technological Institute for it was very helpful the gathered information from written sources and digital sources. The methodology of the researching work in was established based on the survey made of the students and interviews to the members of the Department of Guidance and Student Welfare DOBE, in order to discover the main factors that impact on the indecisiveness of the students also took place a survey to the students to determine several specific aspects that are detailed in the relevant part. Then we proceeded to make a presentation of the getting results in tables and graphs, then their analysis and interpretation, which allowed the development of conclusions and recommendations, which helped to DOBE in strengthening of the model of the vocational orientation. We proceeded to design and to apply strategies for changing in the educational community for students and members of DOBE, these were applied by means of a workshop seminar, lectures, in order to reduce the indecision of the students of “Guaranda” Institute at the time of choosing a University career, and consequently their professional future. At the end of it we could be seen how students focused on their own understanding of the different options career that exist in the world of education, choosing one that meets with your interests and personal goals, maximizing student learning, encouraging the self-development and answering to personal and social problems that stop their personal development then.
