Hypertension is a silent, slowly progressive disease that occurs in all ages with emphasis on people over 30 years, this statement is because people lead lifestyles that are sometimes healthy and sometimes they are harmful to health. In developed countries, unhealthy life styles are those that cause most diseases. Modifying lifestyles, lowers blood pressure, increases the efficiency of antihypertensive drugs and reduces cardiovascular risk. Hypertension is a disease of multiple etiology, characterized by persistent elevation of systolic blood pressure, diastolic or both figures; it is the most common chronic disease worldwide, affecting 25% of the adult population and is distributed in all regions, taking into multiple patterns of economic nature, social, cultural, environmental and ethnic. In some countries, blood pressure mainly affects people over 30 years of both sexes, representing million worldwide, with a mortality rate of 15 million per year, with an impact of 70% of strokes and Deaths from heart failure, 37% men and 51% in women is the leading cause of death in most countries, including ours, is a condition that most often leads to developing target organ damage ( Nervous system, lungs, liver, stomach, kidneys and affects the reproductive system). The same health insurance carries risks but that is not enough to ensure the administration of antihypertensive agents, necessarily reduce the risk of complications. In many cases it should be advised a change of lifestyles with the goal of improving diet, physical activity and psycho-emotional treatment. This issue of Hypertension can deepen their study to find new ways or treatments; and prevent and combat this disease, improve functional parameters of these patients and limit the maximum consumption of drugs. Undoubtedly, systematic physical training and relaxation techniques are essential elements to achieve this purpose. Besides it is known that relaxation techniques are part of the non-pharmacological treatment. It is well known, the positive influence of physical exercise on overall health and particularly on the cardiovascular system. This is a decrease in heart rate at rest, physiological heart hypertrophy, increased heart vasculature, increased cardiac output, better oxygen utilization and decreased peripheral resistance.
