Resumen :	The present research is aimed at solving a problem detected in the Education Unit Roberto Alfredo Arregui Chauvin, the same that lay in the manual way of keeping track of the academic processes (registration, enrollment, grades, and attendance and academic progress ), a situation that caused discomfort to the direct users of the institution such as: Students, parents and staff, hence the urgent need to develop a software tool "SISCOA" that automate these processes by entering information in a database Data orderly so that enables effective and efficient access to academic information of the institution. The initial part of the project fully detailed: the research topic, the problems presented, the objectives of the investigation, the records that serve as references when seeking the solution, the justification that validates the research process and the study variables operationalized along with their dimensions and indicators that allow to better analyze each of the characteristics of variables. For ease in terms of research analysis, the final report is subdivided into chapters the same as those described below: Chapter I: In this section the theoretical framework of the research divided described. Scientific theory: here the whole theory that provides the analysis of the study variables, a theory that is supported by the reference to authors and experts on the subject of scientific research is presented. Conceptual theory: here the different definitions of terms in most part associated with their technical computing, approach and definitions that enable to better understand the syntax used is shown. Referential theory: here contributions and actions that have made different institutions regarding the issue, mostly actions have allowed them to automate processes making them increasingly effective shows. Legal theory: in this part all the guidelines and legal provisions supporting the achievement of research and governing the Ecuadorian state, starting from the Constitution of the Republic is. Organic Law on Higher Education and Organic Law of Intercultural Education. Situational theory: here the data information of the institution where he conducted the research process, a brief history of it and the situational analysis with respect to the control of the academic processes described. Chapter II describes all the methodological strategies used in research, denoting the type of research, the temporary design, techniques and data collection instruments, methods of analysis, universe and sample of informants, among others; whether the whole methodology used for effect. In Chapter III, analysis and interpretation of the results obtained with the application of techniques and instruments for data collection, applied to both students and teachers is addressed; this analysis it performed both before and after applying the computer system that automated the process of academic control, hypothesis testing is performed using the Chi Square formulas, which ultimately settlement on the conclusions and recommendations of separate same way in the before and after application of the computer system. Finally the bibliography of the literature used in the livelihood of the present investigation. Annexes are also shown that allow demonstrate the techniques and instruments used, regarding pictures that serve as evidence, change strategy that includes the development of SISCOA computer system, data analysis, process diagrams, interface design and implementation; Certification Institution, among others.
Descripción :	El presente trabajo de investigación está orientado a resolver un problema detectado en la Unidad Educativa Roberto Alfredo Arregui Chauvin, el mismo que radicaba en la forma manual de llevar el control de los procesos académicos (registro, matriculas, calificaciones, control de asistencia y avance académico), situación que ocasionaba malestares a los usuarios directos de la Institución como lo son: Estudiantes, Padres de familia y personal Docente, de allí la necesidad urgente de desarrollar una herramienta informática “SISCOA” que automatice los mencionados procesos ingresando la información en una base de datos ordenada de tal manera que permite el acceso eficaz y eficiente a la información académica de la Institución. La parte inicial del proyecto detalla a cabalidad: el tema de investigación, la problemática presentada, los objetivos de la investigación, los antecedentes que sirvieron como referentes al momento de buscar la solución, la justificación que valida el proceso investigativo y las variables de estudio operacionalizadas junto con sus dimensiones e indicadores que permitieron analizar de mejor forma cada una de las características de las variables. Para mayor facilidad en cuanto al análisis de la investigación, el informe final se los subdividió en capítulos los mismos que se los describen a continuación: Capítulo I: en este apartado se describe el marco teórico de la investigación dividido en. Teoría Científica: aquí se presenta toda la teoría que aporta al análisis de las variables de estudio, teoría que está sustentada con la referencia de autores y científicos expertos en el tema de investigación. Teoría Conceptual: aquí se muestra las diferentes definiciones de términos en mayor su parte técnicos asociados a la informática, definiciones que permiten acercarse y entender de mejor forma la sintaxis utilizada. Teoría Referencial: aquí se muestra aportes y acciones que han realizado diferentes instituciones con respecto al tema, acciones que en su mayoría les han permitido automatizar los procesos haciéndolos cada vez más eficaces. Teoría Legal: en esta parte se muestran todos los lineamientos y disposiciones legales que apoyan la consecución de la investigación y que rigen en el estado Ecuatoriano, partiendo desde la Constitución de la República. Ley Orgánica de Educación Superior y Ley Orgánica de Educación Intercultural. Teoría Situacional: aquí se describe los datos informativos de la Institución donde se llevó a cabo el proceso investigativo, una breve historia de la misma y el análisis situacional con respecto al control de los procesos académicos. El Capítulo II, describe todas las estrategias metodológicas utilizadas en la investigación, denotando, el tipo de investigación, el diseño temporal, técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos, métodos de análisis, universo y muestra de informantes, entre otros; en si toda la metodología utilizada para el efecto. En el Capítulo III, se aborda el análisis e interpretación de los resultados obtenidos con la aplicación de técnicas e instrumentos para la recolección de datos, aplicados tanto a Estudiantes como a Docentes; este análisis se lo realizo tanto antes como después de aplicar el Sistema Informático que automatizo los procesos de control académico, la comprobación de la hipótesis se la realizó utilizando las fórmulas de Chi Cuadrado, lo que finalmente finiquito en las conclusiones y recomendaciones de igual manera separadas en el antes y después de la aplicación del sistema informático. Finalmente se presente las referencias bibliográficas de la literatura utilizada en el sustento de la investigación. También se muestran anexos que permiten evidenciar las técnicas e instrumentos utilizados, Fotografías que servirán como referentes de evidencia, La estrategia de cambio que engloba el desarrollo del sistema informático SISCOA, en su análisis de datos, diagramas de procesos, diseño de interfaces e implementación; Certificación de la Institución, entre otros.
