It considered the evaluation of current practices, the factors influencing its implementation, the impact of executed projects, and the proposal of a social responsibility plan. To achieve this, a qualitative-quantitative approach was employed, combining descriptive and analytical methods. The applied instruments included structured interviews with the president of the GAD and surveys directed at officials, with questions organized using closed scales and the Likert scale. The results revealed that, although there are successful programs in areas such as health, education, and environmental management, social responsibility practices face significant limitations due to insufficient financial resources, low citizen participation, and weak interinstitutional coordination. Additionally, it was found that resources allocated through the participatory budget have a positive, though insufficient, impact on the parish's sustainable development. In conclusion, the study identified the need to strengthen the GAD's social responsibility through increased budget allocation, the implementation of transparency mechanisms, and the promotion of active citizen participation. Finally, a social responsibility plan was proposed for the sustainable development of the Simiatug parish GAD, based on principles of sustainability, equity, and interinstitutional cooperation to generate a significant impact on the parish.El estudio titulado “LA RESPONSABILIDAD SOCIAL PARA MEJORAR EL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE DEL GOBIERNO AUTÓNOMO DESCENTRALIZADO PARROQUIAL SIMIATUG, AÑO 2024” tuvo como objetivo analizar la responsabilidad social como estrategia para fortalecer el desarrollo sostenible, considerando la evaluación de prácticas actuales, los factores que inciden en su implementación, los impactos de los proyectos ejecutados y la propuesta de un plan de responsabilidad social; para ello, se utilizó una metodología de enfoque cualitativo-cuantitativo, combinando métodos descriptivos y analíticos. Los instrumentos aplicados incluyeron entrevistas estructuradas al presidente del GAD y encuestas dirigidas a funcionarios, cuyas preguntas se organizaron en escalas cerradas y Likert. Los resultados mostraron que, aunque existen programas exitosos en áreas como la salud, la educación y la gestión ambiental, las prácticas de responsabilidad social enfrentan limitaciones significativas debido a la insuficiencia de recursos financieros, la baja participación ciudadana y la débil articulación interinstitucional. Asimismo, se evidenció que los recursos asignados mediante el presupuesto participativo tienen un impacto positivo, aunque insuficiente, en el desarrollo sostenible de la parroquia. En conclusión, se identificó la necesidad de fortalecer la responsabilidad social del GAD mediante una mayor asignación presupuestaria, la implementación de mecanismos de transparencia y el fomento de la participación ciudadana activa.
